How we source.
AI Digest Asia is an AI-assisted, human-moderated publication. The pipeline is automated; the standard is editorial. This page is our publishing principles — linked from every digest.
Where items come from
We monitor official company newsrooms, financial regulators (MAS, SC, BNM), and the regional and international trade press. Every link we publish is resolved to the original publisher's URL — never an aggregator redirect — and every item carries visible attribution to that publisher.
Source tiering
Every source is tiered before an item can be published:
- Tier 1 — high-authority: wire services, major business press, official company newsrooms, regulators.
- Tier 2 — reputable regional outlets.
- Tier 3 — unknown or unverified sources. Tier-3 items are never published automatically; they are held for editorial review.
The tier of every item's source is shown next to it in the digest.
Guardrails on claims
Funding, M&A and valuation claims require corroboration from a Tier-1 source before they can be published. Uncorroborated money claims are held and, if surfaced at all, are labelleddeveloping. Items with low confidence scores, unparseable dates, or unresolved source links are routed to a human moderation queue instead of the site.
Human oversight
Editors review the moderation queue daily and can unpublish any story instantly — takedowns rebuild the site within minutes. Company profile facts (founding, sector, leadership) are maintained against a verified dataset; we do not publish funding or valuation figures we have not verified.
AI assistance, disclosed
Summaries are extractive and faithful to the source — the pipeline does not add numbers, names or claims that are not in the original reporting. Every digest is labelled "AI-assisted, human-moderated."
Corrections
Mistakes are corrected quickly and logged on our corrections page. Any reader can report misinformation — reports go straight to the editors.
